About Us
Performance Trendz, previously Desert Star Engraving, began in 2004 because of a
love for band and guard. We grew up in marching band, winterguard, and drum corps!
We started out small, just engraving custom dogtags, and in two short years have
added apparel, buttons, jewelry, MetalHeads and other fun stuff! We strive for quality,
fashionable items that will get you noticed in practice and on the street.
Performance Trendz loves to see performers excel, and wishes everyone the best of
luck throughout their seasons.

A Passion for Performing
Kelly Runk, the owner of Performance Trendz, began performing as a member of her
high school colorguard. She continued to perform throughout high school and college,
participating in drumline, winterguard, drum corps, and dance. She has also taught
several scholastic and independent colorguards, and is still currently teaching.
Her experiences and love for performing have helped shape who she has become as
an adult, and led her to create this company as a way to continue involvement in
these activities.
